Red White and Blue Thrift Store Jefferson Highway

Threadlightly

After a short stint as a physical store at Queensway Shopping Centre, Threadlightly has now gone fully digital. While you won't be able to touch and feel your threads before you try them anymore, the rest of the shopping experience remains largely the same. Shop from three distinct lines of clothing from the webstore: Rehome offers secondhand, donated items; Reclaim carries handpicked vintage wear; while Rework features goods tie-dyed and handmade by the founder Rin and her mother. Threadlightly also makes it a point to be inclusive, stocking clothing in a large range of sizes (XXS to XXL) and at affordable price points. Check out the online store now to make a purchase (or a donation of your own).

The Fashion Pulpit

Opened in July 2018, The Fashion Pulpit is a physical store where you can swap preloved clothes and accessories, and even buy them. Their collection is vast – you can find both high street and designer pieces in the mix and prices are kept affordable. But if you sign up to be a 'swapper' there's also many benefits to reap like racking up those swap points for an incredible item and joining in on fun events.

SSVP Shop

This cute little shop in the east is a charity shop set up by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP). Run by a group of volunteers, it collects a large range of preloved items from various Catholic churches around the island, which are put up for sale at the hard-to-miss blue SSVP House. Shop for apparel, accessories, household items and novelties at affordable prices, or make an appointment with the shop to contribute your own pre-loved items – all that you donate or spend will go towards helping the poor in Singapore.

Nonmainstream

Nonmainstream is another cool shop you can find in the Kampong Gelam precinct. It's trendy to be thrifty these days and at this hip vintage store you can snap up bright Nike windbreakers, retro sporty sweatshirts, oversized polo shirts, graphic tees and more for affordable prices. The only catch is, the shop is only open on Fridays and weekends so keep tabs on its next opening day on the Instagram account.

Loop Garms

Loop Garms

It all started as a hobby of collecting vintage memorabilia when a trip to Japan inspired two youths, FJ Sai and Isaac Ang to open a physical store in Singapore. Experience a blast from the past as you peruse its curated collection of '80s and '90s apparel like plaid shirts (and pants), graphic tees and sports jackets from your favourite sports brands like Nike, Adidas, Fila and more. Prices start from $15 for caps and t-shirts – also look out for special edition threads available in-store.

Retro Gate

Retro Gate

Where else but Golden Mile Complex would be home to Singapore's first Japanese-American inspired vintage and streetwear thrift store. What started as a passion project between Ryo Yamamoto and Paul Low, is now a physical store offering the dopest vintage streetwear like classic polo tees, colourful sports windbreakers and Hawaiian shirts.

Refash

Shop and get on the great deals at this chain store that has made second-hand shopping fun and accessible for more people. Browse and pick through the collection of clothes from brands like Topshop, Forever 21, ASOS, ZARA and many more. Prices start from only $5 so you won't be burning a hole in your wallet. The stock is updated almost everyday wardrobe so you just have to keep on returning.

Deja Vu Vintage

Deja Vu Vintage

Comb the racks of this boutique for pre-loved clothes, bags and accessories that are imported from the US and Europe – they include coveted couture pieces from Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Oscar de la Renta and other luxury fashion houses. Prices range from $35 for a pair of earrings to under $500 for a formal ball gown, while designer pieces go for up to 80% off their original retail prices. Besides clothes, Deja Vu Vintage stocks a modest collection of quirky tchotchkes for the dresser, such as earring and ring holders.

A Vintage Tale

If you think vintage shopping is about second-hand duds and '80s clothes, A Vintage Tale will prove you wrong. This little gem in Joo Chiat stocks genuine vintage threads, some from way back in the '50s. Dig up brands like Gucci, Valentino, Moschino, pick from accessories and clothes and also bring home your collection of treasures at the end of it all.

EXIT

EXIT

Orchard Plaza might not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of cool stores but give it chance, especially when you have a place like Exit, which stocks a fusion of vintage and trendy streetwear from popular labels like Supreme and Champion. Exit was born out of the lack of vintage clothing stores in Singapore by three friends, Aloyston Eng, Darren Yang and Charmaine Lim who have been retro fashion enthusiasts since they were 17. With the opening of several vintage stores in Singapore, they hope to create a community for like-minded people to get together.

Salvation Army Praisehaven Mega Family Store

Being one of the largest pre-sale (and pre-loved) goods place, it has everything from clothes and jewellery to household furniture and accessories at reasonably low prices, giving you a bang for your buck. The best part is picking out branded clothing or brand new threads with the tags still attached at a steal.

Style Tribute

Style Tribute

For luxury brand lovers, get your haute couture fix at Style Tribute where second-hand high-end goods are sold at lower-than-original prices. Shop authentic goods online with just a click of the button to get them delivered to your doorsteps. Make a trip down to their next pop-up or warehouse sale and take a look at items for yourself.

Minds Shop

Minds Shop

The store is a treasure trove of interesting finds at cheap prices. All proceeds and sales from the shop go towards the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore. Rummage through the selection – you might just find a vintage clutch or pair of heels.

New2U

New2U

Anyone who has ever search up 'Thrift stores in Singapore' would have definitely come across New2U, a charity thrift shop managed by the Singapore Council of Women's Organisations (SCWO) since it's doors opened back in May 2000. Run entirely by volunteers, New2U sells donated pre-loved clothing, accessories, household items and many more at prices as low as a dollar. Not only could you find yourself a treasure hidden in the racks, but it's also all for a good cause as well as all sales will be donated to Star Shelter and various SCWO initiatives.

Something Old Something New

Something Old Something New

Something Old Something New (SOSN) is a thrift store supported by the Singapore Anglican Community Service, who employs and trains those recovering from psychiatric conditions. With seven locations island-wide, seek and you will definitely find something precious amidst the piles of pre-owned clothes, bags, shoes, and other bric-a-brac with prices starting at $1.
